Staying Healthy As a Writer
Writing, besides being a very quiet, sometimes, lonely career, is also very sedentary.
And that is not the best thing for anyone’s healthy! The last thing I want is to have a
New York Times bestseller, but be in such ill health, I can’t enjoy my success!
Besides my writing, which puts me in front of the computer for several hours, I also work a job that involves lots of spreadsheets, remote customer support and design (aka. more time in front of the computer!)

The Scents that Inspire…
Awhile back, I was in a Barnes & Noble, just browsing and I came across these really ingenious candles called the Library Collection. Each of the candles has its own unique fragrance and the name of the author that inspired it.
And that got me thinking…

Looking Beyond the Novel…

So, this is just a little something I have been thinking about recently. Writing “The Novel” seems to be most writer’s grandiose sense of some form of accomplishment. We have now written a huge, epic volume with thousands of words and amazing characters, plots and descriptions beyond belief! Ta-da!
Now, don’t get me wrong! Writing a novel is a wonderful and amazing goal and a fascinating (though, at times, a really hard) journey. Sometimes our writing just seems to grow of its own accord!
