The Writer’s Tea Chest

Writers and tea go together like bread and butter. Or maybe cream and sugar?

Famous authors down through the ages have had their favorite drink to keep their imaginations fueled as they wrote. Everything from beer and wine, to lemonade and cocktails found their into the heart of writers and sometimes into their writing.

Now, I prefer something a little more healthy and warming when I write. Hot tea in my book is the perfect beverage as I type along and a well stocked tea chest is absolutely essential! I like to try to pick a tea that goes with the mood of my writing for the day.

Here are some of my favorite teas to enjoy as I write. (Please note, I am simply giving the names and companies and links of the teas I like. I am in no way affiliated with these companies at all. 🙂 )

Lady Grey
Peppermint
Any kind of Chai, but especially the Numi brand
Plain, black British tea like P.G. Tips (with cream and sugar!)
Strawberry Rose Green Tea
Chamomile and Lavender
Green Tea Kombucha
Honeybush, Mandarin Orange or Mandarian Orange Spice
Black Cherry

How about you? What are some of your favorite teas? I am always looking for
a new favorite!
